PayU Money Payment Gateway Integration for O2VEND Stores
Integration Overview
Integrate the PayU Money payment gateway with your O2VEND store to accept secure online payments. This guide covers merchant account setup, Merchant and Salt Key configuration, and enabling multiple payment options for a smooth checkout experience.
Integration Steps
PayU Merchant Account Setup
- Open PayU signup page
- Enter Email, Password, Mobile number
- If accepting website payments – select Yes and enter website URL
- Add estimated monthly sales
- Click Send OTP & Create Account – verify OTP – Confirm
Merchant Activation & KYC
- Login to Dashboard – select Activate Account
- Complete: PAN, Business details, Bank details
- Choose payment receiving option (Website/App or Payment Links/Invoices)
- Verify Signing Authority
- Submit KYC (Aadhaar / cKYC / Manual)
Logging In to the PayU Merchant Dashboard
Open: PayU Dashboard Login
After login, optionally Start the introductory tour or Skip
Dashboard Overview:
- View alerts, notifications, pending actions
- Switch Test Mode (for testing) / Live Mode (real payments)
Procedure to Access Key and Salt
- Switch to Live Mode using the toggle on the menu bar.
- Select Developer from the left menu, then open the API Details tab.
The following fields are automatically generated and displayed:
- Key – API key required for all payment requests.
- Salt-32 bit – 32-character string used to generate a hash for secure payment posting.

- Open the O2VEND Admin Panel.
- Navigate to Integration – Integration.
- Scroll through the list and select PayU Money.
- The configuration screen opens for easy setup.
- Paste the Merchant Key and Salt Key.
Channel-Based Configuration & Tabs Overview
The Channel Selector at the top of the PayU Money setup page allows configuring payment settings for each platform. This section explains all tabs (General, Products, Brands, Categories, Customers, Customer Groups, Channel Groups) together for clarity.
Available Channels
All channels created in the O2VEND store can be configured.
Examples of channels include:
- Online Store
- Android App
- iOS App
- POS
- Other custom channels
Each channel maintains its own configuration, allowing tailored settings such as Merchant Key, Salt Key, and rule-based availability for all tabs.
How Channel Configuration Works
Settings for a specific channel apply exclusively to that channel, ensuring precise control and flexibility.
Positive usage examples:
- Enable PayU Money only for the Online Store while keeping mobile apps optimized for other payment options.
- Use separate Merchant Keys for each channel when required for maximum security and customization.
General Tab
Core fields to activate PayU Money with clarity and security.
Merchant Key – Unique key provided by PayU for secure authentication.
Salt Key – Security key to ensure safe and verified transactions.
Is Staging Environment? – Choose the transaction mode:
- True – Test mode for risk-free experimentation
- False – Live mode for real transactions
Description – Display name for PayU Money at checkout.
Is Other Than Country? – Activate PayU Money for customers outside the default store country.
Country / State / Zip Code – Define specific regions for PayU Money availability. The + icon allows adding multiple regions effortlessly.
Products Tab
- Included – PayU Money is available only for selected products.
- Excluded – Exclude specific products while keeping it available for others.
- Search – Quickly locate products and assign them to the desired list.
Brands Tab
- Included – Products under these brands display PayU Money.
- Excluded – Products under these brands do not display this payment option.
- Search – Easily find brands and add them to either list.
Categories Tab
- Included – PayU Money is available for the chosen categories.
- Excluded – Disable PayU Money for certain categories while keeping it active elsewhere.
- Search – Locate categories and assign them efficiently.
Customers Tab
- Included – Only these customers see PayU Money.
- Excluded – These customers do not see this payment method.
- Search – Quickly locate customers and assign them to the appropriate list.
Customer Groups Tab
- Included – Selected groups can use PayU Money.
- Excluded – Certain groups do not have PayU Money available.
- Search – Efficiently find and assign customer groups.
Channel Groups Tab
- Included – Channel groups in this list have PayU Money enabled.
- Excluded – Channel groups in this list do not display PayU Money.
- Search – Locate channel groups and assign them seamlessly.
How These Filters Work
- Using the Included list – PayU Money applies only to selected items, groups, or channels.
- Using the Excluded list – PayU Money applies to everything except excluded items, groups, or channels.
- Leaving both lists empty – PayU Money is available for all products, brands, customers, and groups.
This flexible approach allows full control while keeping the setup simple, clear, and user-friendly.
Enable PayU Money on the Online Store
- Open Online Store.
- Select Setup Payment Methods.
- Find PayU Money under Web Store – Payment Methods.
- Use the Enable/Disable toggle to activate PayU Money effortlessly.
- Once enabled, PayU Money is ready to offer secure, reliable, and convenient payment options to all customers.
