URL Features in O2VEND
The URL Features section in O2VEND Back Office allows managing advanced URL settings, enforcing app updates, enabling referral programs, and configuring canonical pages for SEO. Each feature is explained below.
Accessing URL Features in O2VEND
URL Features in O2VEND are available in:
Back Office → Features → URL
Advanced URL Schema
This feature enables customization of the URL structure, making links organized and SEO-friendly. URL segmentation can be applied for products, categories, and brands.
Steps to configure:
- Enable URL segmentation by toggling the feature ON.
- Click the gear icon to open settings.
- Fill in the following fields:
Product:
- Define the URL format for product pages.

Category:
- Define the URL format for category pages.
Before Enable Category Advanced URL Schema
After Enable Category Advanced URL Schema
Brand:
- Define the URL format for brand-specific pages.
Before Enable Brand Advanced URL Schema

- Click Save to apply the changes.
Force App Update
This feature ensures customers always use the latest app version for security and performance.
Steps to configure:
- Navigate to Features → URL → Force App Update.
- Click the gear icon to open settings.
- In the popup:
Select the channel (Online Store, Android App, or iOS App).
Set Is check minimum app version:
- true: Enforces minimum version check.
- false: Disables version check.
Enter:
- App Version: Minimum version required (e.g.,
2.0.1). - App URL: Link to download or update the app.
- App Version: Minimum version required (e.g.,
- Click Save.
- Always set Is check minimum app version to true when enforcing updates.
Enable Refer and Earn
This feature allows the store to generate referral links or coupon codes for customers to share, boosting engagement and new customer acquisition.
How to Create Refer and Earn in O2VEND
Step 1: Login
- Login to O2VEND Back Office.
- Click the Settings button.
- Click the Loyalty and Promotion Tab.
Step 2: Create an Affiliate
- Navigate to Loyalty and Promotion → Affiliate.
- Click Create Affiliate.
In the popup:
Name: Enter affiliate type name.
Comment: Add description.
Owner User: Enter the customer account name (login name for affiliates).
Set Is Template to True.
Click Save.
Use Edit to modify affiliate details later.
Step 3: Create Benefit Rules
- Navigate to Loyalty and Promotion → Benefit.
- Click Create Benefit.
Fill in:
- Name: Benefit name.
- Type: Choose from:
- Customer Fixed Cashback
- Customer Percentage Cashback
- Affiliate Fixed Cashback
- Affiliate Percentage Cashback
- Affiliate Fixed Commission
- Affiliate Percentage Commission
- Condition: No condition or for order placed.
- Cashback Trigger: Order placed or completed.
- Discount Amount, Max Discount, Lifetime Cashback.
- Set Active to True.
- Click Save.
Step 4: Link Affiliates and Benefits to Coupons
- Navigate to Loyalty and Promotion → Coupon.
- Click Create Coupon.
Fill in:
Name, Description, Coupon Code.
Apply: Fixed or Percentage discount.
Affiliate: Select affiliate name.
Conditions: Define order range if needed.
Click Save.
In the Benefits section, select the benefit rule to apply.
Step 5: Enable Refer & Earn
- Navigate to Features in the side menu.
- Search for Enable Refer and Earn.
- Turn ON the toggle.
Step 6: Customer Experience
Customers will see a Refer & Earn icon on the website.
Clicking it shows:
- Referral coupon code.
- Referral link.
Customers can:
- Copy and share manually.
- Use the Share icon for direct sharing.
Canonical Pages
This feature helps search engines identify the main version of your pages and avoid duplicate content issues by setting canonical tags.
Steps to configure:
- Navigate to Features → URL → Canonical Pages.
Click the gear icon to open settings.
In the popup:
Select the channel from the dropdown (Online Store, Android App, or iOS App).
Enter the Base URL for canonical tags (e.g.,
https://yourstore.com).
Click Save.
Always use the primary domain consistently (with or without
www).
