SMS Template Creation & Messaging Panel
This guide explains how to configure SMS templates, map DLT values, and monitor all outbound SMS messages inside the O2VEND Back Office.
The SMS module centralizes template setup, OTP messages, customer notifications, loyalty updates, and transactional alerts.

1. SMS Template
The SMS Template displays all essential configuration parameters required for building automated and DLT-compliant SMS notifications.
Template Fields Explained

| Template Type | Shows the communication channel (SMS). |
| Template Goal | Describes the purpose of the template (e.g., OTP login, loyalty messages, order updates). |
| Template Object | The model or data object the template pulls information from. |
| Template Internal Type | System-level classification for internal process mapping. |
| Template Text Language | Defines the language used for message content. |
| Template Event | Event that triggers the SMS (e.g., CustomerWelcomeWithLoyalty). |
| Is Enabled | If set to true, the SMS will be sent when triggered. |
| DLT Template ID | Required for sending SMS under India’s DLT regulations. |

2. How to Create a New SMS Template
Step-by-step Process
- Go to
O2VEND Back Office → Inbox → Configuration - Select Create Template
- Choose SMS as the channel
- Fill in:
- Template Goal
- Template Object
- Template Event
- DLT Template ID
- Message content with placeholders
- Set Is Enabled = true to activate the template
- Click Save
The template becomes active immediately and will trigger during the respective event.
3. Editing an Existing SMS Template
- Open the template list under Inbox → Configuration
- Click the Edit icon next to the template
- Modify content, channel group, placeholders, or DLT ID
- Save changes
Edits apply globally across Ecommerce, POS, and Delivery modules.
4. SMS Messaging Panel – Live Outbound Messages
The SMS panel displays all sent or attempted notifications from the system.

Panel Breakdown
Left Sidebar
- List of customers / phone numbers
- Recent message conversations
- Search box for filtering SMS history
Right Panel (Conversation View)
Displays complete SMS history for a selected customer:
- OTP notifications
- Order updates
- Loyalty messages
- System-generated alerts
Each message shows:
- SMS text
- Time & date
- Message status (Created, Delivered, Failed*)
This allows quick verification of delivered OTPs, customer complaints, and support logs.
