Delivery Zones in O2VEND
The Delivery Zones feature controls where an online store can deliver products using pincode-based delivery settings. This configuration helps restrict or allow deliveries, manage stock availability by delivery area, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
Understanding Delivery Zones
Delivery Zones define which pincodes are serviceable by the store. Based on the configured zones, the system determines:
- Whether delivery is available for a customers location
- Which warehouse stock should be considered
- Whether manual pincode entry is allowed
This feature is especially useful for businesses that deliver only to selected areas.
Benefits of Delivery Zones
- Restricts deliveries to serviceable areas
- Optimizes stock management per delivery zone
- Improves checkout experience for customers
Enabling Delivery Zones
Steps to Enable
- Navigate to Features from the left-side menu.
- Select Delivery Zone.
- Enable the toggle for Delivery Zones.
Once enabled, delivery rules are applied across the web store.
Delivery Zones
This section explains the pincode-based delivery settings available in store. Each field controls delivery availability, stock management, and address validation.
Enable Pincode Automatic Detection
When enabled, the system automatically detects the delivery pincode using Google Reverse Geocoding.
When disabled, the system does not detect the delivery pincode automatically, and the pincode must be entered manually.
Geocoder API ID
When a valid Google Geocoding API ID is provided, automatic pincode detection functions correctly and location-based delivery validation works as expected.
When the API ID is missing or invalid, automatic pincode detection does not work and manual pincode entry becomes mandatory.
Default Delivery Zone Pin
When enabled, a default delivery pincode is applied for first-time website visitors, allowing products and delivery availability to load immediately.
When disabled, no default pincode is applied, and delivery availability is shown only after a pincode is selected.
Zone Stock Availability
When enabled, stock is validated based on the selected delivery zone and its mapped warehouses, ensuring only zone-available products can be ordered.
When disabled, stock is shown without delivery-zone validation, which may allow orders from locations without actual stock availability.
Lock Shipping Pincode
When enabled, the shipping pincode remains locked to the selected delivery zone throughout the checkout process.
When disabled, the shipping pincode can be changed during checkout, which may lead to delivery or stock mismatch.
Disable Zipcode Check in Shipping Address
When enabled, any zipcode can be entered in the shipping address without delivery validation.
When disabled, only serviceable zipcodes are accepted and delivery validation is enforced.
Check Delivery Zone with City Name
When enabled, delivery validation checks both the city name and pincode, recommended for cities with multiple pincodes.
When disabled, delivery validation is performed strictly based on the pincode.
Save
Saves all configured Delivery Zone settings.
Changes take effect immediately on the online store.
