    Create Route – Field Explanation

    Name

    Enter a clear and identifiable route name.

    Example: Anna Nagar Morning Route

    Use meaningful names to easily identify routes during delivery execution.


    Code

    Optional unique code for the route.

    Example: AN-M-01

    Used for:

    • Internal tracking
    • Reports
    • Route identification

    If left blank, the system can auto-generate the code.


    Description

    Optional description to explain the route purpose.

    Example: Morning delivery route covering Anna Nagar East customers

    Helps operations teams understand route usage.


    Save Shipment Route

    After entering the required details, click Save (top-right corner).

    Once saved:

    • The shipment route becomes active
    • It can be assigned to shipments
    • It is available for Route Run execution

    What Happens After Route Creation?

    After creating a shipment route, you can:

    • Assign shipments from Beat Runs
    • Allocate delivery riders or vehicles
    • Start Route Run for delivery execution
    • Track delivery status and performance
