What Is a Beat?
A beat is a delivery area or shipment zone used to group customers, riders, and shipping rules.
In simple terms:
Beat = Delivery area for order fulfillment
Beats help businesses:
- organize delivery areas
- assign riders by zone
- map customer groups correctly
- apply shipping classes
- prepare for route and beat run planning

Shipment Beats List Page

The Shipment Beats page shows all created beats in one place.
Each row displays:
- Name
- Code
- Description
- Created On
- Actions
Use this page to create, edit, or delete shipment beats.
How to Create a Shipment Beat
- Open Back Office
- Go to Beat & Route
- Click Beat
- Click + Create Beat
- Enter the beat details
- Assign shipping classes, customer groups, and riders
- Click Save
Create Beat Form

The Create Beat screen is used to define the delivery zone.
Name
Enter the beat name.
Example: Downtown Retail Zone
Code
Enter a unique beat code.
Example: DT-RZ-001
Description
Add a short description of the area.
Example: Covers central city retail stores and malls
Shipping Classes
Select the delivery type for the beat.
Example: Fast Delivery - GF
Customer Groups
Assign the customer group for this beat.
Example: Online Customer
Riders
Assign the rider responsible for the beat.
Example: Sansiagarwal
Save
Click Save to create the beat.

Based on the screenshot, a sample shipment beat is:
- Name: New York City Beat - 01
- Code: US-NYC-01
- Description: Covers deliveries within New York City metropolitan area
