POS Work Order Management in O2VEND – Create, Process & Track Store Work Orders
O2VEND POS Work Order screen is designed for service-based billing, custom product orders, advance bookings, tailoring orders, repair jobs, and made-to-order retail operations.
Unlike standard POS Sales orders, Work Orders created in the POS are recorded separately in the Backoffice Work Order module for better service tracking and operational control.
This guide explains how to create, manage, and complete Work Orders using O2VEND POS system.
What is POS Work Order in O2VEND?
POS Work Order is a special billing mode used for:
- Tailoring shops
- Garment alterations
- Repair services
- Custom manufacturing
- Pre-orders and advance bookings
- Restaurant kitchen preparation orders
When a Work Order is created in POS:
- It appears in Backoffice → Work Order
- It does NOT mix with normal POS Sales
- It allows service tracking workflow
This ensures better separation between direct retail billing and service-based operations.

How to Create Work Order in POS System
Step 1: Open POS Work Order Screen
- Login to O2VEND POS
- Click Work Order from left menu
- Work Order billing screen opens
Step 2: Add Customer Details
Search customer by:
- Mobile number
- Membership ID
- Customer name
New customer can also be registered directly from POS Work Order screen.
Accurate customer details help in:
- Service tracking
- SMS notifications
- Repeat customer analytics
Step 3: Add Products or Service Items
Add items using:
- SKU / GTIN search
- Product name search
- Quick Add buttons
- Search popup
Products added will appear in Work Order cart.
Step 4: Set Quantity, Price & Discount
Adjust:
- Quantity (Qty)
- Price (if allowed)
- Discount percentage
- UOM (Unit of Measure)
Advanced configuration like:
- Modify Price in POS
- Modify Discount in POS must be enabled in POS settings.
Step 5: Add Order Notes
Use Order Note section to mention:
- Custom measurements
- Special instructions
- Delivery commitment
- Service remarks
This note appears in Backoffice Work Order for operational clarity.
Step 6: Collect Advance Payment (Optional)
Click Get Advance to:
- Collect partial payment
- Record advance against order
- Reduce pending balance
Advance payment tracking improves:
- Cash flow control
- Service commitment security
Step 7: Save Work Order
Click:
- Save – To store work order
- Save & Print – To print work order receipt
Work Order is now visible in: Backoffice → Work Order Module

After saving:
- Work Order Number generated
- Customer details recorded
- Item list stored
- Advance payment tracked
- Status can be updated (Pending / Completed / Delivered)
Backoffice staff can:
- Update job status
- Mark work as completed
- Convert to invoice if needed
